Bio
Kate Westaby has been a parenting student throughout her postsecondary journey—bachelor’s to PhD—which influences her motivation for supporting student-parent college success. Kate is also a research associate at the Urban Institute and founding director of the Young Parent Collective. She conducts mixed-methods and community-engaged, participatory research to explore college opportunity, well-being, and dignity for student and young parents.
