A STAR Fellow is a current or recent parenting student who has lived expertise relevant to a research or policy project. As a STAR Fellow, you will be a paid member of the project leadership team while also supporting project operations and learning about how to engage in effective research geared toward informing action. Several postings closed in February 2024, but there will be more coming soon!
The postings below document recent/past roles.
STAR Fellows work with our team to develop and operate the SPARK Collaborative.
STAR Fellows worked with a team to analyze, understand, and present recent statistics about parenting students, single mother students, and other key demographics.
STAR Fellows will develop and investigate policy-relevant research questions related to state law AB 2881 or other student-parent issues in California.
STAR Fellows will design the National Skills and Training in Action Research Student Parent Leadership Network (the N STAR Network, for short). The N STAR Network will be a community-building affinity space for parenting students who hold policy, research, or practice advisory roles.
