SPARK Publishes Suite of Resources on Meeting Student Parents’ Basic Needs

SPARK is thrilled to publish a new suite of resources on meeting student parents’ basic needs! The result of a partnership between Urban Institute, Child Trends, Amy Ellen Duke-Benfield, and two student-parent fellows, these resources:

Highlight the importance of supporting parents in postsecondary education and addressing barriers to meeting their basic needs.
Serve as a how-to guide for colleges and human service agencies to form stronger partnerships and more effectively meet student parents’ needs together.
Present new research on how student parents combine work and public programs to make ends meet while in school—both nationally and at the state level.
