Rebecca Schreiber

Bio

Rebecca Schreiber is a law school admissions and financial aid director and a graduate student pursuing an M.Ed. degree from Penn State. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The College of Wooster. As a single mother to two sons, she has experienced barriers to continuing education but is grateful for the opportunity from which she has benefitted. She is eager to increase public awareness of the challenges student parents face, and to help build bridges to education for all who are taking on the monumental task of raising children while they continue their education. This focus on supporting student parents in conjunction with the SPARK Collective builds on Schreiber’s decade of higher education experience, throughout which she has focused on creating educational access and equity for undergraduates and law students. Schreiber authored Creating Meaningful Access & Imagining an Antiracist Financial Aid Office, a five-chapter section pending publication in the Antiracist Development Institute’s book series “Building an Antiracist Law School, Legal Academy, and Legal Profession.” She co-authored "Inclusivity in Admissions and Retention of Diverse Students: Leadership Determines DEI Success," which was published in Rutgers Race & The Law Review. She is an avid knitter, an audiobook lover, and a believer in the power of storytelling through data visualizations.
