Bio

Krystle Pale, a first-generation immigrant descendant of Tongan heritage, passionately advocates for student parents and underserved communities in higher education. Drawing strength from her resilient family legacy, Krystle has overcome domestic violence, systemic challenges, and personal losses to become a dedicated champion for educational equity.

As a student parent and recent University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) alumna, Krystle has held key advocacy roles including president of the UCSC Student Parent Organization, Student Parent Alliance Advocate with Generation Hope, and current consultant STAR fellow for SPARKS Collaborative. She is also an advisor to The California Alliance for Student Parent Success, under California Competes and EdTrust-West. Her experiences as a Transfer Student Parent, Underground Scholar, and Renaissance Scholar have informed her work in dismantling barriers in higher education.

Currently pursuing a Master's degree at the University of San Francisco's School of Education, Krystle aims to shape institutional, state, and federal policies. She leverages her lived experiences to advocate for the creation of inclusive spaces and the implementation of effective policies that support student parents and underserved communities throughout the educational landscape.

Krystle's journey from high school stop-out to graduate student fuels her commitment to empowering BIPOC student parents and creating a more inclusive educational system. Her work honors her ancestors and strives to build a brighter future for her family, community, and future generations.
