Dr. Anne E. Hofmann is Professor of English and Humanities at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland. She earned her PhD in American Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a focus on the intersections of gender, race, and class, particularly as they relate to motherhood, labor politics, and public education access. With over 20 years of experience in education, Dr. Hofmann has taught and created a wide range of courses about the institutions, experiences, and crafts that shape women’s narratives. She also holds an MA in English Literature and Language from The University of Texas at San Antonio and an MEd from The George Washington University in Secondary English Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Hofmann is deeply committed to her local community, actively participating as a community organizer, a public humanities and education advocate, and as a founder of the Parents Lead program at Frederick Community College.
