Great news from Minnesota! The Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) recently announced that 13 organizations, including the Jeremiah Program, Raise the Barr, and various state colleges and universities, received over $5 million in Student Parent Support Initiative Grants. Grantees can use the funds toward program costs, childcare start-up costs, data collection, and direct assistance like scholarships and basic needs support.
"If we want to be the best state in the country for raising a child, then we need to invest in the success of our parents,” OHE Commissioner Dennis Olson said in a recent press release. “The grants will play a critical role in ensuring any current or expecting parent has the support they need to earn a credential, giving them the ability to better provide for their family and support the success of their child.”
